Aims and Objectives

The Oundle and District Dog Training Society aims to:-

  • Promote responsible dog  ownership
  • Help to encourage a good relationship between dog and owner
  • Help owners to handle, control and generally care for their dog in a domestic environment
  • Run classes in dog obedience training using only kind, praise and reward based training methods
  • Work towards The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme Awards
  • Run classes in show training (Ringcraft) using only kind training methods
  • Encourage owners to take part in canine activities
  • Provide a safe environment for the classes to take place
  • Ensure that trainers are competent and given opportunities to increase their knowledge
  • Run the Society as a non-profit making organisation
  • Run the Society in accordance with the rules laid down
  •  Maintain the Society as a Kennel Club Registered Society and abide by Kennel Club rules and regulations.
  • Run occasional events to support registered charities
